SCREENPLAY:
YOUR FATHER IS A MONSTER
written by ROBERT BRUINEWOUD
GENRE: thriller (with fantasy elements) – SHORT, 13-pages
LOGLINE:
A Reptilian passing as a human, and working as a bodyguard, is hired to protect a clueless exec bro from being kidnapped. However, her love of theatrics, jeopardises the assignment.
SYNOPSIS:
What begins with the feel of a gritty crime thriller, is soon derailed by the protagonist’s antics as she tries to get her “client” to safety without revealing to them the actual danger they are in. I can’t say much more than that, given the script is just over 12-pages, except to say that it does offer the actors the opportunity to have fun with their characters. The short ends on a reveal that will have audiences asking for more.
